FASHION PUBLICATIONS

This was a project where we had to create a zine based off a word from a word bank given. I chose the word HYBRID because I am both Bermudian/Canadian and wanted to make my zine quite personal. Entitled EhBie' is a zine that contrasts between summer/winter which are the climates that I associate with Bermuda and Canada. Contrast can be shown through the styling, the writing and more.

STYLING IDENTITY

This was a team project where we had to collaborate with a Fashion Photography student as well as another Fashion Media and Promotion student. For this project we had to create a 6 double page spread editorial both as a group and individually based off of a poem listed and a magazine.

FASHION FILM

This was a project where we had to work in pairs with another Fashion Media and Promotion student.  We were required to create a Fashion Film but took it a step further and made it an interactive one based off of the juxtaposition between dystopian and utopian worlds. The dystopian world was inspired by underground club culture whereas utopia was inspired by hippie cultures.

INDUSTRY AWARENESS

This was a project where we were required to take on a work placement for a total of two months from February 2017 to March 2017 and create a documentary. This was the first time doing a work placement in the UK with me being an international student and it was an interesting experience. We had total freedom to choose where we wanted to have our work placement, we learned how to do interviews and work in a professional environment.

INNOVATION FOR INDUSTRY

This was a project where we partnered with the Youth Club Archive which is a photographic archive resource and they work to preserve, share, educate and celebrate youth culture history. We had to create an innovative concept to help gain awareness to the brand. My concept was to have a denim DIY workshop based on the idea of creating, customizing and expressing yourself and your views in collaboration with Diesel, sponsored by LOVEBOX and have Alex Noble as a guest stylist and judge.

FINAL MAJOR PROJECT

This was the first project where we had total freedom to do what we wanted to do from concept to realization. I created a light-hearted, educational and outrageously funny card game called PANIC ATTACK thats addresses anxiety which is having a huge impact on today's society. The game It is literally a PANIC ATTACK in itself but that is the point, it is meant to push you out of your comfort zone. In doing so you will have no choice but to face up to your fears and embrace your anxiety.

SHOWREEL

This was the showreel that I created to go alongside my final outcome and final major project. It highlights all of my best work throughout the three years of being on the Fashion Media & Promotion course at the University for the Creative Arts in Rochester, Kent England.

COLLABORATIONS

Collaborations are highly recommended within the Fashion Media & Promotion course. They allow you to not only work on yourself but learn how other people think and work creatively to complete a project. Over the years of the course I have collaborated with various students where I have helped with creative direction and modelled.
