Collaborations are highly recommended within the Fashion Media & Promotion course. They allow you to not only work on yourself but learn how other people think and work creatively to complete a project. Over the years of the course I have collaborated with various students and in some cases it has brought me out of my comfort zone for example being a model because I am usually the one behind the camera. That again has given me more confidence in myself in that I can do both. I really enjoy collaborating with people because I am a people person and as I mentioned before no person is exactly the same so everyone is going to bring something different to the table. That is what makes a project or an outcome different when you bring unique but like-minded people together to create something beautiful. I have learned that working with groups of people or others can have its difficulties but I am always one to keep the peace and help to resolve any issues that may come up. “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you” is something that I have been told and will always remember. In terms of collaborations outside of actual projects within university I have helped with creative direction at a shoot for Hannah Sweeney, modeled in an alien themed shoot for Kanna Kawakita and modeled in a resort collection based on the island of Bermuda and London for Leslie Campbell.
